In trying to describe my sense of style, I felt drawn to the concept of an eclectic draw from the past while still holding onto the advances in technology and convenience that the present affords and one hopes the future will increase.
Vintimagery melds the two into what I hope is perfect harmony. It is the difference between chopping the wood, to heat the stove, to boil the water, to wash the 1940’s dishes that you painstakenly collected over several years. Instead, you thank the Lord for the invention of the dishwasher as you load it with those dishes you bought after several searches on eBay with your computer zipping along at lightning fast internet speeds.
Vintimagery encompases more than home-keeping or decorating. It’s the love of beautiful clothing but designed with functionality in mind as well. Rather than being caught up in today’s fashions regardless of personal taste, Vintimagery calls us away from the dictates of fashion week’s runways. As one of my fictional characters once said, “Life is too short to wait for Madison Avenue to dictate that my favorite styles can be worn once more.”
Vintimagery- Melding the beauty and most important virtues of the past with all of the advantages of the forseeable future in mind.
